Summer
is already there and I thought sharing some simple summer tips will make your
summer more cool and healthy. Though summers bring you with those vibes of family
picnics, pool days, beach holidays and other outdoor activities, it also brings
with it a lot of skin and health problems like sunstroke, dehydration, heat boils.
So chalk out these healthcare tips to start your summer off right and enjoy the
season.
- Stay hydrated: Drink your H2O. I know you would have come across it many times but it’s really very important to stay hydrated and drink lots and lots of water. Dehydration can cause keep a water bottle on a hand as a reminder to stay hydrated. You can also have tender coconut water to refresh yourself and feel energetic on a hot sunny day.
- Begin an exercise regimen: Since summer is the most active season, you tend to sweat more and it’s time to shed those extra pounds in easy way. So transform your activities into exercises and sweat up for building healthy body and bone. Don’t over exhaust yourself and keep drinking water to replenish the fluids you have lost through exercises.

Protect your skin: Apply sunscreen with high SPF (SPF 30 or more) at least 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Don’t forget to reapply it every 2 hours.Over exposure rotect yourself from sun with hats and glare.

Snack at work: take snacks at work and binge throughout the day.As sun and sweat makes you sluggish and exhausted you need to eat small meals five to six times per day—you’re less likely to overeat and more likely to stay energized and active.

Head inside: when the heat is unbearable, try to be at home especially in afternoon hours and do some indoor activities. Try to get outside earlier in the day!

Dress for the heat: Choose lightweight, loose and breathable fabrics such as cotton, which will absorb the sweat and will make you feel fresh and cool.

Have summer fruits and veggies: Go for cold foods such as watermelon, yogurt, berries, and strawberries. Try to consume fluid-rich foods and salads including tomatoes, cucumbers, lemons, oranges.Skip glass of orange juice and eat a fresh orange instead—one cup of juice has 24 grams of sugar, double the amount in an orange. Plus you’ll nail on an extra 3 grams of fiber, too, by eating whole fruit.
- Sleep: Make sure you get enough sleep. Rest and relax when you feel tired.
- Soak in: Take cold shower twice a day to keep yourself cool and to prevent skin infections and rashes.
- Enjoy: Don’t forget to enjoy. Love yourself; indulge in a hobby or any relaxing activity. Plan a vacation with your family. Switch of your smartphones and spend time with your loved ones and explore new horizons of life. Stay healthy and cool this summer!
